The North
West Association of Parents and Friends of people with intellectual
Disabilities are a voluntary locally based community Association, which is
dedicated to the support of facilities and communities, working towards the
fulfilment and needs and rights of people with learning difficulties and
special needs, to achieve for each individual the greatest possible level of
health and social gain, bearing in mind at all times, the personal dignity of
each individual

What is
your organisation philosophy?
|
Our
philosophy is based on Person Centred Planning. We encourage our service Users to embrace
increased level of responsibility, building self esteem, skills and reducing
risk. Through this our Service Users
build on their life skills and are encouraged to access Community
Services. Our programmes are based on
cognitive behaviour, and creative therapy principles tailored to each
individual’s level. We offer a wide
rang of programmes in our Services combining the medical and social model.

We are a
voluntary based organisation providing services from 2.5 years onwards. We provide Person Centred programmes in
