Resource Centres nationwide with our National Office in North Fredrick Street, Dublin

you Mission Statement?
|
Our
mission statement is to promote the right of every Deaf and Hard of Hearing
Person to enjoy an equality of opportunity in all aspects of life, and to
develop full independence and citizenship. In addition we promote the rights
of parents of Deaf children to enjoy access to the full range of appropriate
supports and services, and to take an active role in their child’s education
and development.

The
philosophy of our organisation is to envisage a world where deafness or
hearing loss is not a barrier to opportunity, participation or independence.

DeafHear
offer a number of services which are available through our national network
of resource centres. These services include (but are not limited to) the
following:
- Family Services
- Assistive Technology
- Community Services
- Hearing &
Communication Therapy
- Information & advice
- Mental Health

Who are
your typical clients/service users?
|
Profoundly
Deaf sign language users and Hard of Hearing clients.

your service different to that provided by others?
|
Our
clients are Deaf, who use a specialised method of communication i.e. Sign
Language.

We are
able to communicate with our clients using their preferred language (sign).
