Getting to The Model
By Car: Coming from Dublin/Galway follow the N4 onto the Sligo ring road and through several sets of traffic lights until you cross a bridge. Take the right turn to cross the bridge onto Markievicz Rd, (signposted for the Town Centre) Follow the one-way system, taking a left onto Connaughton Road. Continue straight up the hill and pull into the car park on your right hand side once you see The Model building. This is a metered daily rate car park and costs €2.50 for the day.
The Model is wheelchair accessible, however, the DFI Office only allows for limited access. There is dedicated parking at the side of the building which is reached through the driveway off The Mall from which there is ramped access to the main entrance. To reach the Mall entrance by car follow the instructions above, but once you are on Connaughton Road take the second right onto Lake Isle Road, and then turn left at the cross roads onto The Mall. The Model driveway is about 500meters up The Mall on your left hand side.
